Here I am, sitting in this darkness
Illusions swirling in my head
And still I can feel inside me
Those illusions aren't what they seem

Not just illusions I am seeing
But confusion that whirls around me
I can't really understand
I can't thing straight anymore

Being surrounded with problems
Living with those reasons
I just wish that I could run away
Even if it's the only way

Life is suffocating, air is overrated.
I've hated myself way too many times
Numbness isn't that easy
But it's the only price I've got to pay

I have a question.

We waited to be saved
and made sure
that every living thing
we came across
we showered it
with love and peace
and anything that makes
White angels sing
and God clap for more
and faith showed off a little leg.
The drought was over
and earth replenished itself
with a long cold
glass of draft beer.
Hunger became morbidly obese.
The insane became sound
and poor broken people
saw the light
and they were healed.
The meaning of life
Was found inside
a fortune cookie
and we read it
over and over again.
A perfumed rain
became a morning ritual
of turning things
becoming truth
So winners did
not need losers anymore
To feel like winners
because that game was over
Like death & agony
It was obsolete
So the old made love again
Under the neon stars
Dreams were on video
For all to open and see
Jealousy lost fear and the path
That was once quicksand
Became guiding crystal
And nothing was lost or thrown
Away for death was pro-life
We sighed at the times
for peace was our souls
And we were all healed

sugar is sweet
and so are you
but the roses
are wilting
the violets
are dead
the sugar bowls
empty
and so is
your head

i had a dog named muffin,
she died, SHE DIED!!!
my mom said she wuz sleeping,
she lied, SHE LIED!!!
why is my lil muffin dead?!?!
why couldnt that car hit ME instead?!?!

i had hampster named brownie,
he died, HE DIED!!!
i wanted to bring him back,
i tried, I TRIED!!!
brownie just up and left me!!!
because he choked on a sunflower seed!!!

i had a bird named bob,
he died, HE DIED!!!
my mom thought he wuz chicken,
he fried, HE FRIED!!!
bobs chicken fried soul flew away!!!
now i have no pets today!!!
